Bucket List Saturday: Festival Road Trippin'

My last few summers haven't been the best. Sure, I've had some great moments, but they've also been racked with a bunch of issues. I hate using the word issues--I guess stupid personal shitty moments would be better ha. They were just not really fulfilling times. Anyway, I hope this coming summer is just a smidgen better. My dream summer would include a road trip adventure to a bunch of music festivals in an old hippie VW van. How amazing would that be? Camping out under the stars, blasting music, stuffing your face in the back....and of course jamming out to incredible bands at the fests themselves.

Floral Friday: Dried Flowers

Any time I have fresh flowers, I don't throw them away immediately after they die/dry out. I think they are beautiful even in death, so I let them stick around in their vases for a while. Hanging dried out flowers is great too. Or, you can press them (do a quick google search) for use in countless crafts--think cards, bookmarks, even phone cases. Next time you get a bouquet, hold off on tossing them at the first sign of a withered petal--just make sure to dump out the water so they don't get moldy!

Design Thursday: Dining Rooms

I've just recently gotten into interior design. No, I don't know the lingo nor the best designers, but I do know that a stunningly executed room is, well, stunning. And, since eating is one of my favorite pastimes, I thought I'd start out with some images of dining rooms & table settings. Enjoy.

Wise Wednesday: Historical Photographs

Ok, I may I have a history of vehemently disliking history. I'm not sure what it is, but the subject was just never particularly interesting to me. However, the stories it tells are incredible. It can be difficult to truly engage with them however. We have a tendency to become apathetic when we are not directly affected. Photographs make the narratives immediately impacting. Being able to visualize an occurrence, whether though metaphor or an actual image, elicits grand emotions. Please take the time to research even one of the events surrounding these images. I know I will.

Fashion Tuesday: Magazine Covers

Fashion magazines. We hoard them. We bury our faces in them during long plane rides. We rip them to shreds to in order to collage with them. They inspire us. You may not be able to judge a book by its cover, but you certainly can a magazine. Some of my favorites.
